Full Metal Rumble is definitely the best Advance Wars clone we’ve played. (...) Since Advance Wars is one of the few games we consider to be essentially perfect it’s no surprise that this only comes so close to matching it. But while Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble certainly isn’t flawless it is a great strategy game in its own right and if Advance Wars really is gone forever then this is a very acceptable second best.

Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble provides a huge amount of enjoyment from start to finish with some incredibly tense fights. Its gameplay provides a great balance between fun and challenging which made me fall in love with the genre all over again. (...) Advance Wars may have fallen into the archives of history and left some rather big shoes to fill however Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble exceeded my expectations in every way and comes the closest we have ever seen to another release whilst standing firmly on its own two feet unashamedly its own entity.

Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble surpasses both its predecessor and the recent Wargroove to become the number one Advance Wars clone available on Switch right now. Indeed, it may be fair to say that this time around Area 35 has beaten Advance Wars at its own game with a super-tight and generous SRPG that takes the best from the greats it emulates. (...)
