Dank eines beigelegten Rechtsstreits zwischen Apple und Qualcomm wissen wir schon ungefähr, was die nächsten Jahre bei Apples 5G-Plänen auf uns zukommt:

Wichtigste Info für mich:
„Apple is using Qualcomm's Snapdragon X55 modem in iPhone 12 models. (...) Apple intends to launch new products with the Snapdragon X60 modem between 2021 and 2022. Apple has also committed to using as-yet-unannounced X65 and X70 modems in products launched between 2022 and 2024. (...) Built on a 5nm process, the X60 modem packs higher power efficiency into a smaller footprint compared to the X55.“
Besonders der letzte Satz gefällt mir nicht. Ein weiteres Indiz dafür, dass 5G beim iPhone 12 ein Stromfresser sein könnte. Werde am Freitag im Apple Store mal schauen, ob man es ausschalten kann, sonst würde es für mich persönlich keinen Sinn machen... :/
