Und es ist, wie es in dem von dir verlinkten Artikel gegen Ende erwähnt wird, nicht nur auf Geld beschränkt, die können auch Autos und Häuser mit derselben Leichtigkeit beschlagnahmen. Ganz schön schräg.
Biden wollte sich in den 80ern wohl als Hardliner profilieren und hat im Zuge des Drogenkriegs Gesetzgebung auf den Weg gebracht, mit der zunächst nur das FBI Privateigentum beschlagnahmen konnte. Ein Jahr später wurde das dann (von einem anderen Senator) auf die Polizei ausgeweitet.
