“Your vehicle’s peak power has been increased by approximately 5%, improving acceleration and Performance.” schreibt Tesla als Patchnote zu Firmware Version 2019.8.2.
Die Performance Model 3 können nun 162 mph (260 km/h) Spitze fahren - andere Model 3 Modelle werden vergleichbare Spitzengeschwindigkeitszuwächse haben. Die Reichweite soll sich durch den Patch auch leicht erhöhen. Mein Langstreckenmodell von 310 Meilen (498 km) auf 325 Meilen (523 km).
Ein Jahr nach Release hat man genug Fahrzeugdaten ausgewertet und die etwas konservativen Einstellungen nun nach oben angepasst.
Tesla hatte den Patch letzte Woche mit folgenden Worten angekündigt und erklärt:
“There’s also some things we’ve been able to do for existing customers that are pretty cool. Tesla is as much a software company as a hardware company and we’ve been able to via firmware improve the range of the long-range rear wheel drive car from 310 miles to 325 miles. This will affect all customers including those that were all long range cars shipped to date and new cars. So both existing and new customers will get a 15 mile range increase from 310 to 325.”
