Triffts für mich ziemlich gut. Und aus den Comments:
This film not only has two gay male characters (one of whom is Muslim), not only has them in a loving relationship with each other (a relationship actually given screentime, too), but also neither one of them dies. In fact, they are both fucking immortal.
It’s like if someone was told about “Bury Your Gays” and thought up the exact opposite scenario. “What if the gays were immortal? And also badass?” The scene were Nicky proclaims his love for Joe in the middle of a truck full of soldiers and then they passionately kiss (right before killing all of the soldiers) just puts to shame all of Disney’s posturing on their gay characters.
The Old Guard isn’t perfect, but damn, is it good.
So verrückt es ist, dass es erwähnenswert ist, so ist es eben doch: erwähnenswert.
