Xbox has identified a fraudulent group of resellers who were stacking multiple instances of the PC introductory offer and converting it to Game Pass Ultimate. To resolve this issue, we have notified the impacted users individually prior to having their fraudulently acquired subscriptions cancelled.

Why are you canceling these Xbox Game Pass subscriptions?
We’ve found a select number of memberships that were acquired through sources that are in violation of the Microsoft Services Agreement. Subscriptions must be purchased directly from Microsoft digital store or via verified third-party retailers.
What will happen to members account data and game history?
This will all be preserved. Your account will stay but the subscription will be deactivated.
What is the guidance for impacted Xbox Game Pass members?
Impacted members can resubscribe at any time via Join Xbox Game Pass: Discover Your Next Favorite Game | Xbox OR verified third-party sellers.
How many members will this impact?
While we aren’t disclosing the number of impacted members, this is a small portion of the Xbox Game Pass community.
So ganz klar ist mir aber nicht, in welchen Fällen MS so handelt. Mein Abo läuft noch, aber ich habe, wie einige andere hier auch, günstig Xbox Gold bei Eneba und co gekauft und das dann in Ultimate umgewandelt. :/
