Auf der Dreamcast hat sich die Zahl der Continues mit der Spielzeit erhöht, auch unendliche Continues konnten freigespielt werden:
"EXTRA CREDITS:
When you play Ikaruga for the first time, you will only have 3 credits to start. For every HOUR of play time you put in, you will get another credit. Once you reach 9 credits (6 hours of play time), the next hour you play, the game will be on free play."
