Since the launch of the retail edition, we've been working hard behind the scenes to bring you the complete physical Turrican experience that you've already (?) secured, featuring additional games/game modes and other dope content. We wanted to take this opportunity to inform you on where we're at right now.

Since the development has taken an additional turn, having even more content added and refined to make the best Turrican experience we can possibly create, you may have noticed a shift in the timeline from pre-order to delivery. Here below, we'll tell you more about the additions to your upcoming Turrican adventure...

Crucial attention to details

To make the Strictly Limited Games edition stand out even more from the retail editions, all games in the Turrican Anthology will come with an in-game map which will be possible to toggle back and forth. Thus, creating a whole new way of experience your fav euro run 'n gun series and take it to new heights!

This feature has proven to require a lot of additional coding - for each and every game - to make sure that the position data correctly reflects the in-game map. Also, we didn't anticipate the time it would take to create maps for all of the areas in all of the games. This rests entirely on us, but we do think it will be worth the additional efforts made once you have the games in your possession. We do hope you'll feel the same way about this new gameplay feature.

Another day, another try...

Another addition mentioned previously will be the Score Attack, now solely handled by original members of Factor 5. After the first inspections of the Score Attack system, the conclusion made was that the mode deserved a lot more fine-tuning to meet the high standards expected from a Factor 5 creation. After all - as fans of the classic Turrican experiences know all too well - you cannot attach the badge of Factor 5 to just anything. We thank you for your continuous patience as Factor 5 continue to polish on this exciting addition to your future Turrican experience.

The making of a McGuire figure

Upon reviewing the first sample of the figure, certain elements made us feel like we had to find a better way to translate the passionate work behind every pixel of the original games. As it didn't feel right to proceed as it were, we picked a different approach that has since much improved what we envisioned for this soon-to-be stunning collector's piece. Rest assured, we've gone to extreme lengths to make something worthy of carrying the Turrican name. Here above is a behind-the-scenes document by the brilliant minds of graphical artists Rakib and Vito, showing some of the passion and attention to detail that we are striving for. As an exclusive bonus, you'll also be able to download a high-res .png copy of the drawing.

Yes, that's right! This is the very Factor 5 approved drawing of what the Collector's Edition figure is being modeled from, having rejected the previous model due to not being up to both their and our standards. This is the direction for how your Collector's Edition figure will look like, but a lot more colorful.

To give an extra bonus for the additional waiting time, please make your way to our server to download a mp3 track from the official soundtrack - free of charge! This will be the first exclusive music preview (out of three!) that we'll send your way until the games are ready to ship. Stay tuned for a more substantial update on these bonuses...

The bonus track is a medley brought to life by the modern video game music maestro Eirik Suhrke, most famously known as the musical genius of the Spelunky series. The track itself is a new arrangement of several classic tunes from Turrican II by legendary composer Chris HĂĽlsbeck, who has of course given his blessings to have this creation enter the canon!

What's most impressive about this medley though, is that Eirik has remixed everything using the original Famicom soundchips! We do hope you'll like this new take on all of these legendary Turrican tracks.
