Hey everyone,

For a few years now, the TUNIC demo has been playable at shows like PAX and E3. The world is all topsy-turvy now, so we figured it would make sense to bring the fox directly to you, to play in the comfort of your own home.

First, the raw facts before I get all mushy:

⭐️ When can I play?
This weekend! Thursday, August 27th — Sunday, August 30th. This is a timed demo, meaning you can play as much as you want, but only during the weekend!

⭐️ How do I get the demo?
At Indie Arena Online [https://online.indiearenabooth.com/]. You can also get it directly from the TUNIC Steam Page once the demo goes live.

⭐️ What will I need?
A Windows PC and a modern controller (eg: Xbox 360 or newer). You'll also probably need some amount of graphics power. The game isn't ridiculously demanding, but it definitely benefits from something better than regular integrated graphics hardware.

If you try out the demo and you're getting a poor framerate, I've included a super basic quality setting: press Shift+Q to cycle through some render resolution options. It might end up looking a bit grungy, but hopefully you'll be able to play!

⭐️ Any other info?
I'll be participating in a Live Q&A on Sunday, August 30th, at 2 PM Pacific, 5 PM Eastern. Tune in live: http://www.twitch.tv/FinjiCo

As always, we're all on the Finji Discord. Come by to ask questions, hang out, and post pictures of bread. (discord.gg/finji)

To be honest, this is kind of a weird moment. Demoing at shows was already somewhat nerve-wracking: seeing hundreds of people play the game, trying to gauge their reactions while not hovering over their shoulders, chatting with folks that come by the booth, being immersed in the noise and sheer scale of something like PAX... it all felt really big.

In a couple days, however, there's the potential for way more people to play this thing. Way more people to scrutinize the work. In a way, this event could be "bigger" than anything TUNIC has seen before, but I'm just going to be sitting here at home, listening to the birds outside my window, biting my nails.

It's more or less the same demo we've been showing for a while now, so when I look at it, all I see are the bugs I've fixed, the old systems I've revamped, and the details I've improved. That being said, I know that people have had fun rolling around the forest, whacking blobs with a stick, and finding a secret or two. I hope you do too.

Thanks,

Andrew
