Den Businesswire-Artikel würde ich jetzt auch nicht zu ernst nehmen bzw. wird die Situation in China noch keinen Einfluss auf die PS5-Produktion haben. Das bestätigt ja auch der Bloomberg-Artikel von Takashi Mochizuki (einem der bekanntesten und seriösesten Analysten da draußen):
The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has had no impact so far on preparations for PlayStation 5 production, they said. The company has yet to decide how many PlayStation 5 units it will make in the first year.
Aber der Artikel zeigt auch eindeutig, dass sich Sony aktuell in einigen Bereichen schwertut. Für einen Release in der Holiday Season würde die Produktion bspw. üblicherweise im Frühjahr anlaufen:
Sony typically finalizes a console’s price in February of the release year, followed by mass production in the spring.
Wenn das nicht passiert, weil in China immer noch Chaos herrscht und Komponenten nicht produziert werden können, wird das natürlich (auch) die PS5 treffen. Dann gibt’s ggf. deutlich weniger Konsolen zum Start, eine Priorisierung bei den Regionen (wie schon zur PS4) oder gar eine Verschiebung des geplanten Releases. Kein Mensch weiß, wie sich die Situation in China entwickeln wird. Ist doch klar, dass das auch Sony jetzt schon Kopfschmerzen bereitet.

Und dann ist man sich intern nicht einig, wann man welche Informationen zur PS5 an die Öffentlichkeit bringen will und wie der Preis der Konsole gestaltet werden soll:

Diese Dinge meinte ich, als ich von der Jahresplanung sprach. Kein Beinbruch, aber sicher auch keine gewöhnliche Situation.
