Confirmed on stream (https://www.twitch.tv/monsterhunter) they are gold variants of existing weapons with different stats, however two players with the same named golden weapon will have identical weapons.
- Weapons have fixed stats and are golden versions of existing weapons with all new stats.
- There are 3 tiers of weapons: Melded, Dissolved, and Sublimated. ie) the golden Rathalos weapon has variant for each tier.
- Items of the same name and same tier have identical, fixed stats.
- It's not confirmed whether every weapon model has a golden variant, but for every model that does have a golden variant, there is a version for each tier.
- The quest is confirmed to cycle in frequently after this first period of availability.
