After months of casting calls, a new Han Solo has been found, according to reports.
Alden Ehrenreich, who starred in the latest Coen brothers film, Hail Caesar!, has been "tapped up" to play a young incarnation of Harrison Ford's famous Star Wars character, Variety magazine says.
Solo will get his own spin-off film, which is scheduled to begin filming next January, but Ehrenreich is expected to make a brief appearance in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story this December.
Sources told Variety that "the reason for the January start may be so that the character may cameo in Rogue One, giving the production time to shoot the scene that introduces the new Han Solo."
