Silent Hil 2 has received its PS5 Pro patch and the results are not good.
PS5 Pro replaces FSR with PSSR to scale the resolution. This causes noise and artifacts in all reflections and ambient occlusion.
In performance mode, visual problems become more visible due to rescaling from lower resolution.
In addition, the sharpness output is lower on PS5 Pro. The implementation of PSSR is simply not good.
These noise and artifact issues are also visible in other games like Alan Wake II or F1 2024, but not like this.
In terms of performance, we have better overall stability, but it still fails to achieve stable 60fps on PS5 Pro.
There are no changes at the visual level or graphic settings.
Against all odds and in the current state, PS5 brings a better Silent Hill 2 experience than PS5 Pro.
